12 Step Recovery From
The Compulsive Use of All Media
Useful MAA Financial Information
MAA became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation with the Internal Revenue Service on August 8, 2024. As a result, all contributions to MAA are now tax-deductible. By law, MAA is required to provide a receipt to any donor who makes a one-time contribution of $250 to use as proof when filing taxes for the year in which the contribution was made. All receipts are sent via email by the MAA Treasurer. If members’ one-time contributions are smaller than $250, they need to keep track of their donations themselves.
Non-Profit Status Limits
To maintain MAA’s 501(c)(3) status, only MAA members are allowed to make contributions with a set limit of $7,500 per year per member. In addition, any member wishing to make a bequest through their will is limited to a one-time $10,000 donation.
Easy Way to Donate Monthly
Donations to MAA are made on the MAA website at mediaaddictsanonymous.org. The funds are processed through MAA’s PayPal account and can be set up as recurring donations by clicking on “Make this a monthly donation.”
